#24 – Make a Menu
Here’s a basic guide to how you can do a fun restaurant menu class:
- Paper: I’d use a larger piece of paper for this. Students can fold it into three sections like a brochure or just in half.
- Rulers: You’ll want rulers so students can draw straight lines, so bring your box of craft supplies to class.
- Prices: Students don’t really know what a hamburger costs in America, or wherever you’re from, so pull up some sample menus from Google so they can have something to look at.
- Role-play: I always do some kind of role-play where we have customers and waiters. Sometimes the angry cook comes up brandishing a meat cleaver and other times the owner kicks everyone out. As you can see, there’re lots of possibilities.
