In other words, my classes sucked! But I learned, and I was able to pull some good ideas for things that work from the ashes of those that didn’t.
I know that people in China can’t buy Kindle books from Amazon, so if you’re in China like I was just go to Smashwords and get a PDF copy – they have about 6 formats you can choose from.
Since we’re around the holidays and just about to get into the busy winter teaching schedule for many training center employees, I’m pricing this book lower than usual. Right now you can get it for $0.99 – that’s right, 25 proven ways to teach an hour of ESL for less than $1.
After the New Year I’ll probably raise the price up to $1.99, so get it now. And don’t think I’m making a whole lot on it, either. For each sale at $0.99 I get $0.35 and if it’s $1.99 I’ll get $0.70 – certainly not enough to retire on.
The book’s not real long, just 31 pages, so I think you’re getting a good deal.
Here are the chapters:
Introduction – For the Love of God…Talk!
#1 – You Talk All the Time
#2 – The Student Talks All the Time
#3 – Drilling
#4 – Ask Questions
#5 – Continuous Reading

If that looks interesting to you then give the book a look. If you get some good ideas from it, tell some of your fellow teachers. And stay tuned, because next month I plan on having another ESL book out, this one much longer and covering all kinds of new stuff!
